If you’ve ever wondered how many ingredients a recipe has to have to be considered a “recipe”, the answer is two. Two ingredients! That’s it. I looked it up because calling this three ingredient staple a recipe feels silly! But after sharing this one in my instagram stories so many times and getting non stop requests for said “recipe” it was time for my to publish my weekly staple.

This recipe is so simple, I can prep it and clean up faster than it will take me to write this post. It’s perfect for busy nights when you need to come home to a ready cooked dinner, it’s versatile for everyone to assemble to their liking and best of all, perfect for leftovers so you can enjoy this tasty meal on repeat.

In searching for “tacos” in my photo album the results were, well…..a little embarrassing if I’m being honest. I’m definitely a taco girl and have the photo evidence to prove it. My favorite shot of this family favorite though has got to be the pink sparkly paper plates from last week when Ruby requested to be the food stylist of my photos. Well done Ruby!

You can use any brand of seasoning and salsa that tickles your fancy, but over the years, I’ve found my fave combo to be siete taco seasoning and Salsa god with a toss up between their fire roasted red and Smokey garlic chipotle flavor. Drool. These salsas have so much flavor and are a great ingredient to keep in the pantry when you just need an easy condiment or a go to dinner.

All it takes to make this recipe is 2lb chicken breast, half a packet of taco seasoning and one 16oz jar of salsa. throw it all in a crock pot, cook on low for three hours, pull out the chicken and shred and add it back to the liquid. Wallah! Delicious salsa chicken!

You can use this in many ways but my absolute fave is in a crunchy shell with some Greek yogurt, lettuce and Wuju hot sauce. If you haven’t tried my jalepeno sauce, it’s a winner for sure and pairs nicely with this recipe.
