The sauce I put on everything!

Every home cook has that one recipe they make so often it basically lives in their refrigerator.
For me, that recipe is this Creamy Jalapeño Yogurt Sauce.
It started as a simple way to add a little brightness and heat to bowls, but somewhere along the way it turned into a full-blown obsession in our house. I drizzle it over salmon bowls, tacos, roasted vegetables, grain bowls, eggs, chicken, rice bowls, wraps… honestly almost anything.
It’s creamy, tangy, slightly spicy, and packed with protein thanks to the Greek yogurt base.
And once you start making it, you’ll quickly realize why I never make a single batch anymore.
Because we go through it so fast, I usually quadruple the recipe using my giant Vitamix, pour it into several smaller containers, and stash them in the freezer. Then I keep one small container in the fridge for the week and pull a fresh one out as needed.
It’s one of those little kitchen habits that makes healthy eating feel effortless.
Creamy Jalapeño Yogurt Sauce
Ingredients
2 jalapeños
1 cup plain Greek yogurt
1 tablespoon fresh garlic
1 tablespoon avocado oil or olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
Instructions
Bring a pot of water to a boil and add the jalapeños. Boil for 20 minutes until softened.
Drain and allow the jalapeños to cool until safe to handle.
Put on gloves (trust me on this one). Cut the jalapeños in half and remove the stems and seeds. Roughly chop the peppers and add them to a food processor along with the remaining ingredients. Blend until completely smooth.
Refrigerate for 2–3 hours to allow the sauce to thicken.
Why I Love This Sauce
High Protein
Greek yogurt gives the sauce a creamy texture while adding protein.
Big Flavor
Boiling the jalapeños softens their bite while still giving the sauce a subtle heat.
Versatile
This works as a drizzle, dip, spread, or dressing.
How I Use It
This sauce shows up in so many of my meals that it almost deserves its own shelf in the fridge.
Some of my favorite ways to use it:
• Salmon bowls
• Taco bowls
• Drizzled over roasted vegetables
• Spread inside wraps
• On grilled chicken
• Over rice bowls
• With eggs and breakfast tacos
If you’re someone who likes having a go-to sauce that instantly upgrades a meal, this one is it.
Talk MacrostoMe Tip
Because we use this sauce constantly, I usually make four batches at once in my Vitamix, pour them into smaller containers, and freeze them.
Then each week I simply pull one out of the freezer and keep it in the refrigerator so it’s ready to drizzle on everything.
It’s one of my favorite healthy meal prep shortcuts.
